Day 1 (Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008)

Everyone arrived at Bush Intercontinental OK. Check-in went smoothly & uneventfully.

Good flight to Newark.  767 – so each of us had our own console.  Had over 3½ hour layover so took “extended walking tour” of the airport trying to decide where to eat.  Lunch at Garden State Diner was nothing impressive.

Checked in at gate and took our seats; progressively pushed out by ~15 Hassidic Jews davening and praying prior to the trip.

Very restless flight to Tel Aviv.  Several screaming infants all night long, in addition to lights left on, and several passengers talking non-stop.  We all averaged about 2-4 hrs sleep.  Sleeping pills of minimal help.  At least “Bee Movie” was cute.
