Noodle Kugel Cookoff

1st Annual Noodle Kugel-off

Sunday Nov 20th

12:45 pm

Sponsored by Temple Sinai Sisterhood

Do you think you have the best Kugel recipe?  Marla Hansel does.  She uses Jackie Goldburg’s recipe from Sinai Temple in Marion Indiana.  Think you can beat her?  Then enter the noodle kugel-off.  We are bringing in independent judges to determine who has the best kugel.

Entry is open to all- you do not have to be a member of Temple Sinai.  Entry is just $5.  All entrants must submit their recipe and fee to sinaisisters@aol.com by Nov 13th.  Kugels may be dairy or savory and must be in a 9 x 13 disposable pan.  They must be to the Temple by 12:45 PM on the 20th at correct temperature.

Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

If you love eating kugel, come taste the amazing creations being entered.  Tasting begins at 1:00 PM.  The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 5.  If you enter a kugel you can taste the competition for free.  The tasting will consist of 3 small pieces of kugel, salad, oranges and iced tea.  Recipe books will be sold.

Marla has heard rumblings that AnnDee Wood has the best kugel.  She is issuing a specific challenge to AnnDee-Bring it on!

Come join us for a delicious time.
